Akkök Group of Companies Prepares for USD 250 Million Investment
Akkök Şirketler Grubu, which includes major Turkish industrial enterprises such as Aksa Akrilik, Ak-Kim and DowAksa, continues its investment activities. Ahmet Dördüncü, Executive Board Chairman of Akkök, made statements regarding the holding's objectives.
Dördüncü said the group closed the previous year with a turnover of TRY 15 billion. Stating that they planned an investment of USD 250 million during 2019, Dördüncü said, "In 2019, we are looking at exports in the region of USD 350-450 million.
One of the business groups to which I attach importance is the chemicals group, and I believe that chemicals is a very strategic sector for Turkey. At the same time, after energy imports, the chemicals sector is also our most significant import item."
