Konya Şeker Reaches Peak Position In 2022, Konya Şeker ranked as the country's 27th largest exporter in its sector, while holding the top position in Konya. PANKOBİRLİK General President Ramazan Erkoyuncu stated, "As Konya Şeker, under the Torku brand we export to numerous countries from China to the United States and Russia. Contributing to Turkey's export performance fills us with considerable pride." According to a statement from the company, Konya Şeker ranked 319th nationally in 2022 in the 'Top 1000 Exporters' research conducted by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM). The company ranked 27th nationwide in the food, grain, legumes, oilseeds and processed products sector, while reaching the top position in Konya. Konya Şeker, which brings together approximately 700 products including snacks, biscuits, chocolate, milk and dairy products, frozen potatoes, croquettes, legumes and bulgur with customers in foreign markets, saw its exports increase by 10.2 percent year-on-year in 2022 to USD 93.5 million. Five member companies of Konya Chamber of Industry appeared on the announced list. These companies were listed as SSP Automotive Aydınlar Spare Parts, Konya Şeker, Eti Aluminum, YPS Global Automotive and Hilal Leather Processed Meat Products.

We Are Ambitious in Exports Too

In the statement, PANKOBİRLİK General President and Konya Sugar Beet Growers Cooperative Board Chairman Ramazan Erkoyuncu provided information that as Konya Şeker, under the Torku brand they export to numerous countries from China to the United States and Russia. Stating that contributing to Turkey's export performance fills them with considerable pride, Erkoyuncu continued his remarks as follows: 'From last year to today, we have nearly 150 million dollars in exports, exporting products in approximately 700 different categories. Looking at 2022 figures, we achieved an increase of more than 10 percent compared to the previous year. I congratulate all companies on the list with us that add value to our country. Our effort is to further increase the quality and reliability of our product range, the number of countries we export to, and our export figures. Foreign trade is of great importance for the country's economy. As Konya Şeker, we aim to increase our export figures to 300-400 million dollars over five years. We continue to produce for domestic and foreign markets without additives and without compromising on quality at our facilities.' Source
