Abdi İbrahim Makes First Export with On-Site Export Permit
Abdi İbrahim, which has served the pharmaceutical sector for 110 years, has taken another important step to improve lives. Last year, using the On-Site Export Permit issued under the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) scheme by the Ministry of Commerce and Trade, the company made its first export to Kazakhstan. Abdi İbrahim carried out its first on-site cleared pharmaceutical shipment from the Technology and Logistics Center located in the Esenyurt Production Complex to Kazakhstan. At the Esenyurt Production Complex, 50,771 boxes of medicine were loaded into containers and exported directly without being subject to any customs inspection. Operating since 2016 as a company that meets customs obligations under the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) scheme, maintains regular and traceable record systems, and meets financial capability, safety and security standards, Abdi İbrahim expanded its competence and authority further last year. The Ministry of Commerce and Trade granted Abdi İbrahim an On-Site Export Permit on 6 December 2021 under the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) scheme, which provides companies with on-site customs clearance capabilities, providing certain facilitations for the company's export activities. As the first pharmaceutical company in Turkey to receive this permit, Abdi İbrahim will be able to conduct export processes faster and at lower cost with the On-Site Export Permit, and orders can be delivered directly from its own facilities to customers without passing through domestic customs administrations and without delay.Advertisement
