This is a health-related headline, not chemical-industry trade news, but I'll translate it as requested:

Fatty Liver Disease May Increase Risk of Cirrhosis and Cancer

Reduced physical activity in daily life and changes in dietary habits can directly affect liver health. Prof. Dr. Sedat Karademir, General Surgery Specialist at Anadolu Sağlık Merkezi Hastanesi, noted that fatty liver is more common in people who are overweight or have insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol and a sedentary lifestyle.

Reduced physical activity in daily life and changes in eating habits can directly affect liver health. Prof. Dr. Sedat Karademir, General Surgery Specialist at Anadolu Sağlık Merkezi Hospital, noted that liver fatty infiltration is more commonly observed in individuals with excess weight, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol and sedentary lifestyles.

What Risks Does Liver Fatty Infiltration Carry?
Prof. Dr. Karademir emphasized that excess fat accumulation in liver cells can lead to serious health problems such as inflammation, cell damage, cirrhosis and liver failure. He also stated that in patients developing advanced-stage fatty infiltration and cirrhosis, the risk of liver cancer increases.

"In recent years, we are observing liver cancer developing from fatty infiltration even in individuals without cirrhosis," said Karademir, noting that people with diabetes, those gaining weight rapidly, or those with elevated liver test results require closer monitoring. Blood tests, ultrasound, MRI when necessary, and regular cancer screenings are important for these patients.

Weight Loss and Lifestyle Changes Are Critical
Karademir stated that liver health can be supported by losing 7-10 percent of current weight, engaging in regular walking and following a Mediterranean-type diet. He noted that these methods can both reduce liver fatty infiltration and decrease cancer risk.

"Small but sustainable steps integrated into daily life make a difference during this process. Fatty infiltration risk can be controlled through proper monitoring and lifestyle changes; when neglected, it can lead to serious health problems," he added.
