P&G Gebze Plant Makes Donation to Neighboring Communities
P&G, which has been operating in Turkey for 33 years and improving consumers' lives through both its products and projects, creates value for society not only through corporate support and brand initiatives but also through its employees.
When the pandemic emerged in Turkey, P&G reached approximately 17,000 people staying in 43 quarantine facilities across 26 cities with home care and personal care products. Through the "Under the Same Roof, Hope for Tomorrow" project announced last week, P&G donated Hope 2020 Hygiene Packages to 40,000 families.
In addition to P&G's corporate donations, employees at the P&G Gebze factory volunteered during the COVID-19 period to produce laundry detergent for distribution to elderly residents in the area where the factory is located and to laundries washing healthcare workers' uniforms. This conduct by P&G employees at a time when the importance of solidarity is increasingly recognized received positive responses from the local community.
In subsequent periods, P&G reached approximately 17,000 citizens and healthcare workers staying in 43 quarantine facilities across 26 cities through donations of personal care products. With the "Under the Same Roof, Hope for Tomorrow" project announced recently, P&G donated Hope 2020 Hygiene Packages consisting of basic hygiene, health and personal care products to 40,000 families experiencing income loss. P&G once again made headlines through the exemplary conduct demonstrated by its employees.
