World Medicine Makes Turkey's Export Champions List
At the recently held Turkey Exporters Assembly (TİM) 2020 Export Champions Awards ceremony, World Medicine achieved a major leap forward, climbing 129 positions compared to the previous year in the Turkey's Top 1000 Exporting Companies – 2020 survey. With this ranking, World Medicine placed 203rd among all companies operating across different sectors in Turkey. In sectoral exports, World Medicine ranked 19th based on its export performance.
We Achieved Major Growth Compared to Last Year
World Medicine Board Vice Chairman Sohrab Mammadov stated that World Medicine has been on an upward trajectory since 2011. Mammadov said, "While we exported to 26 countries in 2017, we reached the position of exporting to 35 countries by 2020. Our success story, which began with a ninth-place award in 'Pharmaceutical Products Exports' in 2016, continued with the 'Fastest Rising Company in Exports' award in 2017 and a third-place award in 'Pharmaceutical Products Exports'. In 2018, we received a third-place award in the Export Stars category. In 2019, with our successful export performance, we ranked second in İKMİB's 'Export Stars – Pharmaceutical Exports' category. This year, as World Medicine, we entered the ISO 500 list, surpassing many pharmaceutical and drug companies that were previously on this list, and we ranked 5th in our sector," he said. Sohrab Mammadov recalled that in 2020, World Medicine topped İKMİB's 'Export Stars – Pharmaceutical Exports' awards. "With these awards that are the reward for our step-by-step efforts, we have reached our goal. Now, we have made a significant advance in the Turkey's Top 1000 Exporting Companies – 2020 survey compared to the previous year, climbing 129 positions at once. On a sectoral basis, we have secured our place in 19th position in exports. As always, our objective will be to advance rapidly toward the top in exports in the field of 'chemicals and chemical products' through our investments and activities. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this achievement," he said.Advertisement
