ACD/Labs, a software development and commercialization company supporting research and development activities, announced the development of v2023 software applications on the Spectrus® Platform. Andrew Anderson, Vice President of Innovation and Information Technology Strategy at ACD/Labs, stated, "Our development efforts anticipate the needs of the R&D community while also implementing feedback from our customers. This release advances our pursuit of supporting innovation by freeing scientists from repetitive tasks and enabling organizations to derive maximum value from their investment in analytical data generation. As we celebrate our 30th anniversary in 2024, we are excited to continue pushing boundaries with the latest technologies—including expanding our Spectrus JS portfolio of browser-based applications, delivering a low-code/no-code application for data flow and management, and developing the portfolio that our customers have relied on for decades for molecular characterization and knowledge sharing." The software on the Spectrus Platform is used daily by scientists working in laboratories to provide efficiency in analytical workflows and enable informed decision-making. New functionality and improvements to existing tools in v2023 include: NMR: An updated PubChem library for faster identification of known structures, tools supporting external standard quantitative NMR studies, enhanced reporting for complex projects, and accelerated computer-aided structure elucidation (CASE). MS: Consolidated display of all relevant information in mass spectral searches, expanded quantitation options, and greater ease and flexibility in peak naming. Chromatography: Extended support for chromatography data systems (CDS) to include Agilent's OpenLab and added features facilitating method transfer between instruments and laboratories. Spectrus combines contextual storage of analytical knowledge with powerful search capabilities to help scientists access information quickly. The 2023 version of the software includes the ability to review, compare, and organize analytical results across multiple experiments, expanded search options, and enhanced dataset management. In response to data scientists' needs, the new version also enables free movement of data between information systems to reduce the intensive data engineering typically required for analytical data to be used by AI/ML and business intelligence (BI) applications. The 2023 version, which can work with NMR and xC/UV/MS data together, has expanded the export of homogenized data from the Spectrus Platform with the ability to export to machine-readable JSON format.
