Petrol Ofisi Grows Faster Than Market Petrol Ofisi achieved growth above market levels in 2021, maintaining its leadership in Turkey's mineral oils sector. According to PETDER data, Petrol Ofisi increased its market share to 31% in the mineral oils and chemicals market and 29.7% in the mineral oils market, cementing its position as the leader in both segments. According to data from the Petroleum Industry Association (PETDER), Turkey's mineral oils and chemicals market grew approximately 10.2% in 2021, reaching total sales of 384,682 tonnes. Petrol Ofisi continued its steady growth in Turkey's mineral oils and chemicals market and strengthened its leadership position in both segments. Continuing the successes it has achieved even in the second year of the challenging pandemic period, Petrol Ofisi carried its leadership in mineral oils and chemicals, which it assumed in 2010, into its 12th year by increasing its market share to 31%. In the mineral oils market, Petrol Ofisi maintained the leadership it reached in 2019, strengthening it in 2021 by raising its market share to 29.7%. Based on PETDER data, Petrol Ofisi, continuing its strong growth, maintained its leadership in both segments. Petrol Ofisi, observed to have improved its sales tonnage and market share in nearly all segments of Turkey's mineral oils and chemicals market, drew particular attention with its Maxima brand, which increased its market share in passenger vehicle oils to 20.4%.

Total Sales Reached 148,000 Tonnes, Exports Reached 11,000 Tonnes

Petrol Ofisi raised its total sales figure above 148,000 tonnes in 2021. Strengthening its sales in the global market as well as the domestic market, Petrol Ofisi increased its mineral oils exports to 33 countries across 4 continents above 11,000 tonnes. Petrol Ofisi stands out in the mineral oils segment with its advanced technology, high production and storage capacities. With its mineral oils factory in Kocaeli Derince with approximately 140,000 tonnes annual production capacity and 66,000 tonnes storage capacity, Petrol Ofisi has a portfolio of over 400 products. The Petrol Ofisi Technology Centre – POTEM, one of the most advanced facilities in its field located at the plant, conducts approximately 150,000 tests annually, serving all sectors, particularly public institutions.

This is a very significant achievement. However, these figures reached in the mineral oils segment were achieved alongside pandemic conditions, on one hand managing a major digital transformation, on the other hand preparing for Texaco production, sales and distribution and beginning initial production, while simultaneously undertaking new investments, developing new products and acquiring new customers. Consequently, this success achieved in the mineral oils segment is far more valuable for Petrol Ofisi. We develop new products with POTEM for both current and future needs, and continuously improve our existing products. We closely follow developments in all relevant fields, particularly automotive. As one unit with our distributors, dealers and customers, we think, work, develop products and services and invest both for today and the future. Recently we introduced to the market oils that provide performance, efficiency gains and cost savings. Over the past year we launched many new products in various segments. We introduced to our consumers a motor oil for hybrid vehicles and antifreeze-ready products developed to meet our consumers' needs. At the same time, we signed a contract in September 2020 regarding the production, sales and distribution in Turkey of mineral oils under the Texaco brand, a globally renowned trademark, from Chevron, an important global brand. In this cooperation based on our 70-year-old established relationship and simultaneously demonstrating the trust and confidence of a global brand in our country, after completing planning and preparations we began initial production of Texaco mineral oils in Turkey in November 2021. During this period when we are conducting many different strong initiatives under pandemic conditions, we acquired new customers in the domestic market and new countries in exports, increasing our sales. Despite all these difficult conditions, in 2021 we recorded growth in all areas, with figures reflected in PETDER data as well, and we developed and consistently maintained our leadership positions in both mineral oils and chemicals markets and mineral oils markets. For all these reasons, this success we achieved in 2021 is much more valuable for us. I thank everyone who contributed."
