Kimpur Reaches Gold Level in EcoVadis Rating

Kimpur, one of Türkiye's leading polyurethane system houses, has taken its sustainability performance to a new level, earning a "Gold Medal" rating from Ecovadis.

Kimpur, Turkey's leading polyurethane systems provider, has been awarded the "Gold Medal" by Ecovadis, elevating its sustainability performance to a new level.

Placing sustainability at the center of its strategy, Kimpur has advanced from Ecovadis Silver Medal to Gold level with strong performance in environmental, social and governance (ESG) areas through the international sustainability rating platform. Last year ranked in the top 13% among companies evaluated globally, Kimpur has further improved its performance this year, rising to the top 4%.

Ecovadis is one of the world's most widely used sustainability rating platforms, covering over 150,000 companies operating in 185 countries and over 250 sectors, assessing sustainability based on various criteria including environment, ethics, human rights and sustainable supply chain management. By advancing to Gold Medal in this assessment, Kimpur has once again demonstrated its sustainability commitment on a global scale.

Climate-Focused Strategies and Concrete Results
Kimpur has identified risks related to the climate crisis and evaluated them through scenario analysis, developing action plans within its 2030 Climate Change Roadmap accordingly. Among the company's environmental performance targets are reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions intensity per unit by 33% by 2030, reducing energy consumption intensity by 22%, and composing 25% of sales from sustainable products.

Despite an 8% increase in production volume in 2024, total emissions growth was limited to only 0.5%; emissions intensity per unit decreased by 6%. During the same period, energy consumption intensity fell by 7%, while carbon footprint calculations were completed for 69% of the product portfolio. Kimpur also submitted and received approval for the Eurostars call as part of decarbonization efforts conducted with international partners.

Diversity, Inclusion and Employee Satisfaction
Strengthening its sustainability approach in the social sphere, Kimpur has made significant progress on diversity, inclusion and employee engagement. The proportion of female white-collar employees and female representation on the board of directors has risen to 40%, while in the 2024 employee engagement survey conducted by Happy Place to Work, the company scored 83, achieving a 3-point increase compared to the previous period.

Kimpur CEO Cavidan Karaca made the following remarks regarding the achievement:
"The Ecovadis Gold Medal demonstrates that Kimpur has taken sustainability beyond a strategic priority to become an integral part of our corporate culture. Rising from the top 13% last year to the top 4% this year is a result of our commitment to improving our environmental performance and social impact. For us, sustainability is not merely a goal but a responsibility we bear toward future generations. I thank all our employees and business partners who contributed to this success."

Kimpur continues to position sustainability as an inseparable part of its business operations. The company aims to reduce environmental impact while increasing social contribution, maintain ethical and transparent management practices, and continue its sector contributions through innovative solutions.
