Advanced Design and Development Center in Germany Carbon, one of the world's leading digital manufacturing platforms, and the Institute of Polymer Technology (LKT) at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) are proud to announce the opening of a joint Advanced Design and Development Center in Bavaria. This collaboration aims to leverage the innovation and expertise of both organizations to provide greater support to Carbon's Manufacturing Network and key European customers in sectors such as consumer goods, automotive, industrial, medical and dental health. The Advanced Design and Development Center will house Carbon's latest manufacturing technologies as well as Carbon's award-winning materials. This unique partnership stems from LKT's commitment to industry collaboration and Carbon's focus on pioneering the production of breakthrough products with best-in-class design and manufacturing technology alongside expert application development capabilities. Beyond serving the industry, the Carbon and LKT partnership will encourage and support a diverse range of groundbreaking research opportunities in additive manufacturing and materials development. The newly established center will provide a hub for Carbon's European customers and potential customers to develop their products and experience Carbon processes firsthand, while significantly reducing turnaround times for regional customers. The center will also serve as a hub for research and development work. Carbon and LKT will work closely with doctoral students on new research and development initiatives and will provide an expanded workspace to explore innovative applications and advances in platform processes ranging from materials development to recycling capabilities. Prof. Dr.-Ing.
