KKDIKMarket.com Launches

In our country, the Regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (KKDIK) issued by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization aims to protect both human health and our environment, while also directing producers to seek expert advice. Along with the regulation, chemical substance suppliers are held responsible for the safe use of these materials, according to Onay Mühendislik General Director Kutlu Altun, who made the following remarks on the matter: "With the KKDIK regulation, the aim is to increase competition in the growing local chemical industry. Additionally, the objective is to minimize the harm certain substances cause to nature, and compliance with procedures is made mandatory for producers. As Onay Mühendislik, we launched KKDİK Market, the only marketplace initiative in the sector. We enable producers to quickly complete their chemical registration procedures and provide access to access letter fees for approximately 400 substances."

All access fees are available

Explaining that an access letter is a document granting producers permission to obtain the data they need to enter the registration system and that they must pay a fee to access information belonging to other members, Kutlu Altun described the services offered on their marketplace as follows: "Users of our KKDIK Market platform can find access fees not only for substances represented by Onay Mühendislik Danışmanlık A.Ş. as the leading representative, but for all chemical substances registered in Turkey. Members can benefit from our services including preliminary review, pre-registration, data storage and evaluation, data gap analysis and other initial procedures, as well as risk assessment, chemical safety report preparation and KKDIK registration file creation, information updates for the ministry and consortium, and others. Additionally, we help companies learn the revolving fund fee they owe to the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, enabling them to calculate actual KKDIK registration costs."  

First and only marketplace

Highlighting that all services offered on their portal are built on years of knowledge accumulation and experience, Onay Mühendislik General Director Kutlu Altun stated: "KKDIKMarket.com went live as of 1 August 2022 following discussions Onay Mühendislik held with the Turkish Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and sector representatives. On our platform, we offer practical and easy methods for fulfilling all procedures related to KKDIK implementation, through which the negative effects resulting from chemical substance production by companies from different sectors are kept under control. We enable producers to access all information across Turkey and position ourselves as the sector's only marketplace."
