Akdeniz Chemson Makes Strategic Investment Move in China Akdeniz Chemson has made a new investment to meet rising demand in China's growing market. Akdeniz Chemson, among OYAK Group companies, has brought online a facility in Huzhou city in Zhejiang province, China with an annual production capacity of 30,000 tonnes. OYAK General Director Süleyman Savaş Erdem stated that Akdeniz Chemson's investment in China is the result of OYAK's vision and sustainable growth strategy demonstrated in recent years, saying, "Today, from China to the United States, across all continents and all time zones, we carry out 24-hour uninterrupted production in different sectors. We analyze in detail the demand and requirements of the sectors in which we operate, and we act with the understanding of 'right investment to the right market.'" Emphasizing that they are accelerating overseas investments in the chemistry and agriculture sectors, and that Akdeniz Chemson's facility in China is a product of this understanding, Erdem said, "OYAK, which always keeps sustainability and profitability in focus, merged Akdeniz Kimya and Chemson under the 'Akdeniz Chemson' brand with all their operations in 2020. With this major move, Akdeniz Chemson Global (AC Global) became the world's largest company operating on 5 continents in the PVC stabilizers field."

Erdem emphasized that OYAK continues to make investments to further advance the product groups in which it is a market leader in the chemistry sector, saying, "With this approach, we did not give up on our China investment even during the pandemic that affected the world and continued our work. In the heartland of China's economy

The city of Huzhou, where the facility is located, sits in the Yangtze River delta on China's eastern coast, one of the country's most important production centers. The city is positioned near Shanghai and Ningbo ports, among China's and the region's largest import and export harbors. The Akdeniz Chemson facility, constructed in Hiping town approximately 30 kilometers from the city center, spans an area of 20,000 square meters. The facility is located within an industrial zone with favorable transportation and infrastructure conditions and proper environmental planning. With the new investment, the number of production lines at the integrated facility increased to 3, and annual production capacity rose to 30,000 tonnes. The facility, which has commenced operations with its laboratory, production lines and warehouses, manufactures next-generation calcium-zinc and organic-based stabilizers. Source
