DYO Wins Chemical Industry Environmental Award

DYO, in the 28th edition of the Kocaeli Chamber of Commerce Şahabettin Bilgisu Environmental Awards, received the Chemistry Sector Environmental Award in the Large-Scale Enterprise Category for its environmentally-friendly products, waste reduction and sustainability approach. Turkey's most established paint manufacturer DYO was recognised for the Chemistry Sector Environmental Award in the Large-Scale Enterprise Category at the 28th Şahabettin Bilgisu Environmental Awards Ceremony organised by the Kocaeli Chamber of Commerce. The ceremony was attended by Kocaeli Governor Seddar Yavuz, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tahir Büyükakın, Chamber Presidents of the Kocaeli Chamber of Commerce and guests. The award was received by DYO General Manager M. Mutlu Uysal and Construction Paints Technical Factory Director Hasan Şerefhan. DYO received the Chemistry Sector Environmental Award in the Large-Scale Enterprise Category through its environmentally-friendly products, waste reduction, carbon footprint reduction, water footprint reduction and conservation, energy savings, use of clean production technologies in the manufacturing process, raw material recovery and improvement, chemical management and sustainability approach.  

Şahabettin Bilgisu Environmental Awards

The Kocaeli Chamber of Commerce has been organising the "Kocaeli Chamber of Commerce Şahabettin Bilgisu Environmental Awards" since 1995, on a path guided by awareness of developing new "environmental strategies" for nature protection, reducing the impacts of climate change and sustainable production. Through the awards organisation, which was held for the first time in Turkey by the Kocaeli Chamber of Commerce, the aim is to contribute to the protection and improvement of the environment, encourage continuous environmental improvement, promote adaptation to changing environmental concepts, raise awareness and understanding on environmental issues and disseminate good practice examples in this context.
