Advanced Recycled Feedstock LyondellBasell Secures Advanced Recycled Feedstock with Nexus Circular LyondellBasell and Nexus Circular announced they have signed a firm and long-term supply agreement under which Nexus Circular will supply approximately 24,000 tons of recycled feedstock annually to LyondellBasell. The material will be produced at Nexus Circular's new advanced recycling facility, which is expected to begin construction in 2023. The new facility will convert mixed plastic waste, which today mostly ends up in landfills or incineration, into recycled feedstock. LyondellBasell will use the recycled feedstock at its Channelview, Texas facility to produce new plastics that will be marketed under the CirculenRevive brand. Nexus Circular is a company with proven proprietary technology and leading process design in advanced recycling that converts landfill-bound films and other difficult-to-recycle plastics into high-quality liquids that are then used to produce virgin-like plastics. Since 2018, Nexus has regularly supplied ISCC Plus-certified circular liquid products in commercial volumes and has diverted more than 8 million pounds of used plastic from landfills.
