Macfarlane Group PLC Acquires Suttons Macfarlane Group PLC announced the acquisition of A.E. Sutton Limited, which operates under the name Suttons Performance Packaging ("Suttons"), a specialist protective packaging manufacturer based in Cambridgeshire. Founded in 1962, Suttons supplies bespoke protective packaging from its production facilities in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire, to customers in the medical, electronics and industrial sectors across the United Kingdom. The acquisition presents significant opportunities for both Suttons and Macfarlane to benefit from access to each other's sector expertise, specialist protective packaging product ranges and shared supplier base. The experienced team of 55 employees, including two Suttons directors, will continue operations within the Group following the acquisition. Peter Atkinson, Chief Executive of Macfarlane, said: "Suttons is a profitable, well-invested business with an experienced management team fully committed to moving forward. The acquisition is being financed using our existing banking facilities and will be earnings accretive.
