Fedrigoni Announces Acquisition of Divipa
Fedrigoni Group, a global leader in the production of high value-added specialty papers for packaging, publishing and graphics, as well as first-class labels and self-adhesive materials, has announced the acquisition of Divipa, a Spanish company based in Derio. Divipa, which develops self-adhesive materials, had an estimated turnover of EUR 24 million in 2021 and approximately fifty employees. Divipa was founded in 1971 by the Alvaro family, which transferred 100% of its capital to Fedrigoni while remaining represented in the management board with some of its members. The transaction marks Fedrigoni Group's fifth acquisition in the self-adhesive sector in two years, following Italian Ritrama, Mexican IP Venüs and Ri-Mark, and American Acucote. In this way, the company has further strengthened its position as the third player in the self-adhesive world, operating through various brands including Arconvert, Manter and Ritrama. In fact, Fedrigoni is today a leading producer of wine labels and plays a leading role in high-tech self-adhesive labels and films for the food, pharmaceutical, automotive, personal and home care sectors and many others. Fedrigoni Group CEO Marco Nespolo stated: "Divipa's entry into the Group represents a new milestone in our growth path in the self-adhesive materials world. By obtaining a direct hub for all major geographical markets, we have not taken a step back in advancing our strategic plan to expand our offerings in attractive segments and broaden our global presence through targeted acquisitions. I welcome our Divipa colleagues joining our existing team of 4,000 people." Fulvio Capussotti, Vice President of Fedrigoni Self-Adhesive Products, said: "With the acquisition of Divipa, which joins the two self-adhesive production units we already operate in Spain, we are continuing our expansion in the increasingly promising self-adhesive materials sector. This operation will enable us to increase our production capacity and create numerous synergies in production and procurement." The agreement was also welcomed by Divipa's founder Jaime Alvaro Alvaro: "Fedrigoni Group is a solid industrial reality that is expanding strongly at international level with ambitious development objectives. I am pleased that my company and my employees will be part of this, and I am confident that in the coming years they will find the right environment to grow and consolidate significantly," he said.
