H.B. Fuller acquires HS Butyl Limited
H.B. Fuller strengthens its global position in the specialty construction tape market.
H.B. Fuller Company announced the acquisition of HS Butyl Limited (HS Butyl), the United Kingdom's largest manufacturer and distributor of high-quality butyl tapes that provide robust, durable and water-resistant seals for various applications in the construction, infrastructure, automotive and renewable energy industries.
This acquisition, which continues H.B. Fuller's strategy to deliver 20% adjusted EBITDA margins within the next three to five years, develops one of the company's top 20 technology-driven growth segments and positions H.B. Fuller uniquely to accelerate its expansion into the USD 15 billion global water-tightening tape market comprising butyl tape technologies.
H.B. Fuller expanded its existing technology platform for butyl tapes in 2022 by acquiring GSSI Sealants Inc., a North America-based manufacturer with a strong butyl tape portfolio. Now H.B. Fuller will leverage the company's capacity and global distribution network to further expand HS Butyl's innovative technologies in Europe, where the water-tightening tape market is twice the size of North America.
