Bayer to Provide Aid for 100 Million Women
Bayer announced its target to provide access to modern contraceptive methods for 100 million women in low- and middle-income countries by 2030. It is known that 44 percent of all pregnancies occurring worldwide are unplanned.
This rate can reach 65 percent in developing countries. Bayer, which has identified enabling women to plan their own futures and increasing health awareness as the focus of all its work, announced the 100 million women target on World Contraception Day. Contraceptive methods, first made available 60 years ago, are now used by 150 million women worldwide for both prevention and treatment purposes.

According to statistics, 76 percent of women in Turkey do not regularly visit their gynecologist. With the aim of raising awareness among women, Bayer Women's Health has signed on to numerous digital projects aimed at bringing together women and specialist physicians in the field. Taking on the mission of serving as a bridge between women and specialist physicians, Bayer Turkey Women's Health became a sponsor of Albert Health's telemedicine application, particularly during the pandemic period, for women who have questions about women's health and are reluctant to go to the hospital, marking a first in the sector. Under this initiative, 1,000 women have downloaded the Albert Health Health Assistant application and are able to receive free consultations from gynecologists and obstetricians. Women's Health TV, which first launched as a website in 2017, continues to raise awareness among women by sharing through its YouTube and Instagram accounts scientific and reliable answers to all frequently asked questions about childbirth, pregnancy preparation, infertility, menopause and women's health provided by specialist physicians in their respective fields.Advertisement
