With its expertise demonstrated by 40 million square metres of thermal insulation carried out annually in Europe, Baumit aims to offer solutions tailored to buildings' requirements through its developed thermal insulation systems, innovative features and quality. Tested according to each country and climate type, Baumit Thermal Insulation Systems produced in compliance with European Technical Approval Certificate quality and standards (ETAG 004) are developed to ensure healthy performance of insulation throughout the building's lifespan. The open®System, Power System, Star System and Pro System present different components and features with the same objective, ranging from single-family homes to mixed-use projects. The open®System, particularly recommended as the ideal solution for renovation over existing insulation layers, stands out with its diffusion-open properties. Applicable in buildings where existing thermal insulation systems prove insufficient to increase energy performance, the system's insulation board contains hundreds of holes per 1 m². Thanks to these holes, air humidity in the room remains at optimum levels; water vapour formation is prevented, stopping condensation on walls. open® provides approximately 23% better thermal performance together with other system components.

Power System, with its high durability properties, is recommended for regions where winters are harsher and heavy precipitation such as hail occurs. With PowerFlex ready-mixed plaster, a 3 mm thick base coat layer applied over the thermal insulation board makes it possible to achieve 10 Joule impact resistance.

When the base coat thickness is increased to 5 mm, this resistance can rise to ≥ 15 Joule levels. In hail simulations conducted for Power System, hail (impact) resistance is evaluated in 5 classes according to the weight and speed of the projected hail mass. Beginning with HW1 in this classification, when a small ice mass (approximately pea/chickpea-sized) is projected at approximately 50 km/hour onto the external façade thermal insulation system, the objective is to cause no damage. With an HW5 hail-resistant system, secure building envelopes can be created in over 90% of hazard zones. Power System also makes it possible to obtain trouble-free and secure façades even in the coldest climate conditions. Baumit Star System is the most fundamental system for both new constructions and thermal insulation renovation. The system, which has unique flexibility and impact resistance properties, contains BaumitStarTherm, a silver-grey insulation board that provides 20% higher insulation performance compared to white board. Pro System, developed for real estate projects, combines excellent and reliable insulation properties with the best performance-to-price ratio. Pro System, the most suitable solution for apartment buildings or large-scale projects where professional systems are applied, responds to the most economical protection and cost expectations with high performance. Star and Pro systems can be created with both EPS and rock wool boards according to project requirements. With Baumit Thermal Insulation Systems, it is possible to keep building maintenance costs at limited levels, ensure interior comfort conditions, save energy from winter heating and summer cooling consumption in line with needs and budget.
