Şişecam, a global player in the glass and chemicals sectors, announced its 2025 financial results. The company achieved net sales of TRY 225 billion in 2025. International sales accounted for 59.34% of Şişecam's total sales during the period; total investments reached TRY 35.8 billion, and exports amounted to USD 938 million.

Şişecam announced its financial results for 2025. The company's consolidated net sales for the period reached TRY 225 billion, while the share of international sales—comprising exports from Turkey and sales from production outside Turkey—in consolidated sales stood at 59.34%. Şişecam's total investments for 2025 were announced as TRY 35.8 billion, with exports of USD 938 million. During this period, the company produced 5.6 million tonnes of glass, 4.3 million tonnes of soda ash and 4 million tonnes of industrial raw materials.

Şişecam General Director Can Yücel, noting that 2025 was a challenging year in which global macroeconomic and geopolitical developments had a strong impact across all areas of the economy from production to trade, evaluated the company's 2025 performance as follows: "We completed 2025 as a year marked by geopolitical and economic fluctuations, with trade continuing to be affected by these developments. During this period, when protectionist measures came to the fore on a global scale, production balances shifted, risks in the supply chain increased and predictability declined. This created pressure felt worldwide on investment decisions and trade volumes.

Despite this ongoing situation, it is possible to note that limited recovery occurred in the glass and soda ash sectors in 2025. We observed that continuing weakness in demand and existing capacity surpluses continued to pressure pricing in both the glass and soda ash areas. Despite the challenges presented by these conditions, Şişecam focused on increasing operational profitability, pursuing sustainable growth, continuing and completing our investments without interruption, and enhancing our brand value. Our product quality, the flexibility provided by our geographic diversity, our global brand strength, our established culture and expertise in our business areas, combined with our employees' commitment, provided Şişecam with significant financial and operational resilience in 2025, a year of high uncertainty.

2025 was a year in which we implemented strict cost controls and productivity improvements to offset contracting margins. With the aim of moving our productivity focus to a more systematic structure, we launched a comprehensive productivity management initiative. In line with our objectives to increase cash flow capacity and strengthen our financial structure, we controlled production costs throughout the year and optimized our maintenance plans.

Within this scope, our updated cold repair programs delivered significant gains in terms of more effective utilization of our furnaces. For example, advancing the cold repair of our flat glass production facility in northern Italy supported more effective management of our production and cost balance, while revised maintenance schedules at our other furnaces increased our operational profitability.

2025 was also a critical year in Şişecam's digital transformation processes. In this year when we completed our digital transformation projects and created the opportunity to convert data by integrating it end-to-end into our processes into added value, we fundamentally updated our technological infrastructure and began building artificial intelligence capabilities on this structure to maximize our efficiency. Concurrently, we anticipate that our updated organizational structure and business model shaped by customer focus will deliver significantly higher added value together with the digital capabilities we are targeting.

Yücel emphasized the importance of 2025 in terms of Şişecam's strategic investments, stating: "Throughout the year, we took important steps supporting our production capability, technology infrastructure and geographic diversity in line with our strategic priorities. We adapted our architectural glass structure in Europe to market conditions. We commissioned the frosted glass furnace and energy glass processing lines in Tarsus, increasing our high-value product capacity. We relocated glass tableware production from Denizli to Kırklareli, creating a more integrated and sustainable structure. We started 2026 in a way that will support our sustainable growth. In February, we fired the first furnace of our facility in Kaposvar, Hungary, our first glass packaging investment in Europe. At our flat glass facility in Bulgaria, we commissioned two coated glass lines with annual capacity of 6 million square meters; at our facility in San Giorgio di Nogaro, Italy, we commissioned two coated glass lines with annual capacity of 6.5 million square meters. Our Tarsus flat glass furnace investment, which we will commission in the first quarter of the year, will also increase our product diversity while providing Şişecam with operational flexibility and greater scope for our research and development work."

Can Yücel noted that Şişecam implemented important financial moves during the year to strengthen cash flow, continuing as follows: "Our issuance of a 7-year Eurobond totaling USD 500 million through our 100% subsidiary in the United Kingdom at the beginning of 2026 was completed with demand of USD 1.7 billion. This demand once again confirmed international investors' confidence in Şişecam's disciplined spending management, productivity-enhancing actions and predictable cash flow. The long-term financing package provided in October through cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) was a strategically important step in supporting our flat glass and energy glass investments, balancing our debt maturity structure and strengthening our sustainability objectives. In a spirit of simplification and productivity focus, we also addressed our idle properties. The sales plan we created for our non-operating real estate and the steps taken in effectively managing our valuable mineral portfolio supported our liquidity during the year and will continue to contribute in 2026. As Turkey's global brand, Şişecam will continue its operations in 2026 with a continuous and sustainable growth approach, supporting activities with innovation, always prioritizing quality and customer confidence, working with high discipline and rigor. As the sole global player operating across all areas of glass, we will continue to generate value for our country and stakeholders by prioritizing the preservation of our financial strength, focusing on high-value products and investing in energy-efficient technologies, and continue to strengthen the Şişecam brand on a global scale."
