Zorlu Enerji Receives A Grade in CDP Climate Change Program

Zorlu Enerji received an "A" score in the 2025 Climate Change Program assessment of CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), regarded as the world's most comprehensive and reputable environmental reporting platform, confirming its climate-focused strategies on an international scale.

Zorlu Enerji has achieved an "A" rating in the 2025 Climate Change Programme assessment by CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), the world's most comprehensive and respected environmental reporting platform, thereby internationally validating its climate-focused strategies.

Zorlu Enerji, a leading renewable energy company, secured an "A" rating in CDP's 2025 Climate Change Programme assessment and earned a place on the A List through its performance in climate strategy, transparent reporting approach, strong governance model and effective emissions management. In 2025, while 22,400 companies worldwide submitted reports in the CDP Climate Change category, only 112 companies were deemed worthy of an "A" rating. Zorlu Enerji has internationally validated this achievement through its approach of placing climate focus at the centre of its business strategy.

Zorlu Enerji has been reporting since 2010, when CDP Turkey was founded
Since the founding of CDP Turkey in 2010, Zorlu Enerji has been reporting and treats climate crisis management as a core component of its main business strategy and as a lever supporting growth. In line with this approach, it measures direct and indirect emissions according to international standards, integrating climate risks into its financial planning to transform its resilience in the transition to a low-carbon economy into a transparent performance indicator for global investors. The CDP reporting discipline sustained for over a decade reflects Zorlu Enerji's leadership in sustainable energy transformation and its vision of developing its business model in alignment with the low-carbon world of the future.

"We aim for climate-aligned growth"
Elif Yener, CEO of Zorlu Enerji, describing how they approach sustainability as a strategic management area encompassing the entire value chain, commented on the achievement at CDP as follows: "As Zorlu Enerji, we aim to be a facilitator of Turkey's sustainable and renewable growth. Through the strategies we have developed, we aim not only to contribute to our own operations but also to Turkey's decarbonisation, water efficiency and biodiversity conservation objectives. In this direction, we focus our investments on renewable energy sources. Since 2010, as part of our CDP reporting, we have been transparently sharing our carbon footprint with the public every year, and since 2015 we have been voluntarily reporting to the CDP Water Programme.

Our placement on the A List in the CDP assessment demonstrates that our approach of placing climate focus at the centre of our business strategy resonates on an international scale. We continue our efforts resolutely towards a more sustainable and climate-positive future. In this context, we aim to reach net-zero emissions by 2040, reduce water consumption per unit of energy produced every year until 2030, and become a nature-positive company by 2035."
