Kimpur Publishes 2025 Integrated Report Themed "Sustainable Progress"

Kimpur has published its Integrated Report, presenting its 2025 environmental, social and economic performance. Prepared under the theme “Sustainable Progress,” the report highlighted developments in carbon management, sustainable products, R&D, circular economy, employee experience and corporate governance.

Kimpur, one of the region’s largest polyurethane system houses, has made its Integrated Report for 2025 available to its stakeholders. Prepared under the theme “Sustainable Progress,” the report addresses the company’s growth approach together with its environmental, social and operational impacts.

Kimpur positions sustainability not merely as a field of work aimed at reaching certain targets, but as a process that advances through the regular assessment of the impacts of its activities and the continuous improvement of its processes. In this context, the company carried out work in 2025 aimed at improving resource use, reducing environmental impacts, developing its product portfolio and strengthening employee experience.

Sustainability priorities reassessed
In 2025, Kimpur reassessed its sustainability priorities in line with global developments and the needs of its business model. Priority topics were structured under the headings of Climate Crisis and Carbon Management, Sustainable Growth, Sustainable Product Management, Information Security and Cyber Risks, Employee Rights, and Risk Analysis and Regulatory Compliance.

With the new prioritization approach, digitalization, cyber risks, and the increasingly growing regulatory and compliance requirements in the chemical sector were also included in the sustainability agenda.

16 percent reduction in carbon intensity
Having identified Climate Crisis and Carbon Management as one of its priority areas of work, Kimpur reduced its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emission intensity by 16 percent in 2025 compared to the 2022 base year. The company’s carbon footprint per unit of production stood at 0.061 tCO₂e/ton.

Kimpur’s Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emission data are verified by an independent organization under the Türkiye Sustainability Reporting Standards (TSRS). In addition to its emission reduction efforts, the company continues its work on increasing energy and resource efficiency, reducing waste, and lowering the environmental impacts of its production processes.

Share of sustainable products in sales at 21 percent
Kimpur, which integrates sustainable product management into its product development and portfolio management processes, saw the share of its sustainable product group—comprising bio-based, recycled-content, material-optimizing and low-carbon-footprint products—reach 21 percent of total sales in 2025.

As part of its Product Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) efforts, the carbon footprint of 97 percent of the active product portfolio was calculated.

The company also continued its work in the field of circular economy in 2025. Having commissioned PET polyester production at its Düzce facility, Kimpur continued its R&D efforts toward developing low-GWP technologies, bio-based systems, material optimization and low-emission products.

147 R&D projects carried out in 2025
Kimpur’s work within its R&D Center, registered by the T.C. Ministry of Industry and Technology since 2017, continued in 2025 as well. The company carried out 147 R&D projects throughout the year, 80 percent of which were transformed into industrial applications addressing customer needs.

Kimpur also continued its efforts in the international R&D and innovation ecosystem by taking part in Eurostars, TÜBİTAK 1832 and Interreg NEXT MED project applications. Through projects in the fields of sustainability, circular economy, low-carbon transformation and safe material development, the company reached its European Union project targets set for 2030 ahead of schedule.

Employee satisfaction and women’s representation increased
Considering employee rights among its sustainability priorities, Kimpur continued its practices supporting employee experience, engagement and equality in 2025 as well.

In the Happy Place to Work assessment, the employee satisfaction and engagement score rose from 83 in 2024 to 85 in 2025. The survey participation rate was 95 percent. As a result of its practices geared toward employee experience, Kimpur received the “Happy Workplace” title for the third consecutive time.

The company, which also made progress in the field of gender equality, exceeded its target of 28 percent female board membership set for 2025, raising women’s representation on the Board of Directors to 40 percent.

Gold Medal from EcoVadis
Kimpur’s performance in the environmental, social and governance fields was also reflected in international sustainability assessments. The company earned a Gold Medal in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment conducted in 2025.

In the assessment, Kimpur’s performance was evaluated under the headings of environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

In line with its “Sustainable Progress” approach, Kimpur aims to regularly assess its environmental, social and operational impacts and to continuously improve its sustainability performance.
