The Importance of Hygienic Packaging Grows Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

Coronavirus outbreak is directing consumers shopping at supermarkets toward hygienic packaging. Packages are produced hygienically in isolated facilities at temperatures of 150-200 degrees. Spanish packaging manufacturer Saica Pack operates two factories in Turkey, where production is carried out hygienically. Akın Burak Önder, Country General Manager of Saica Pack, emphasizes that corrugated cardboard is an environmentally friendly and hygienic product for transporting goods from one location to another. Önder stated: "Papers used in corrugated packaging are produced at temperatures reaching 150-200 degrees. High temperatures at this level provide the necessary conditions from a hygiene perspective. Food safety standards in place at factories are further strengthened during this process, and production facilities are isolated from the outside. Since food and beverage and cleaning product demand has increased the most following the pandemic, demand for food and cleaning products increased by 45 percent during this period."   Source: Hürriyet
