The partnership between the Bayır and Melekoğlu families, which began in 2002 with Baymel Shoe Company, entered the chemical sector in late 2011 with the establishment of Baymel Kimya Polyurethane Systems. Baymel Kimya Polyurethane Systems, operating in polyurethane systems and benefiting from high market demand in its position, is the first and only domestic and national systems house in the Anatolia Region established entirely with domestic capital. Baymel has advanced always one step ahead of changes and developments in its field of operation, becoming a company recognized for its success not only in Gaziantep where it is based, but throughout Turkey. Baymel Kimya Polyurethane Systems, which maintains its sole status in Anatolia, continues production with a polyurethane systems house investment, maintaining a product range including footwear, rigid, CASE, flexible and polyurea in the sector. Our company has adopted an environmental protection, occupational health and safety management approach that goes beyond producing quality products and represents one of the fundamental principles of sustainable development. Our production, which continues with sensitivity to natural resource and energy use, effective waste management and emissions monitoring, is supported by R&D projects aimed at developing environmentally compatible products and technologies. Our factory, established in 2011 with 5,000 m² of enclosed space and annual production capacity of 8,000 tonnes of base polyester and 8,000 tonnes of prepolymer, was upgraded in 2019 to 17,000 m² of enclosed space with annual production capacity of 35,000 tonnes of base polyester, 40,000 tonnes of prepolymer and 130,000 tonnes of formulated polyols. Baymel Kimya Polyurethane Systems operates with high-technology machinery and production equipment with 80 percent automation in production and continues its activities in the sector with quality products.

BayFOOT

Baymel markets a wide range of polyurethane products under the BAYFOOT brand, selling footwear PU systems. In the footwear sector, polyurethane consumption is increasing worldwide due to its properties such as wear resistance, bending strength, flexibility, lightness and ease of application, and it is rapidly replacing substitute materials (PVC, EVA, etc.). Baymel supplies the polyurethane footwear sector with products of various physical properties for different application areas from 25 density to 60 density (casting or direct injection) according to customer expectations and machine variety. It consists of 3 product groups.

BayRIGID

Polyurethane systems whose main purpose of use is insulation. Systems that can be operated at different reaction profiles and process conditions, using various densities and various blowing gases. A mixture of polyol system and polymeric isocyanate (PMDI) expands with the aid of a blowing agent to form rigid foam. 90-92 percent of the foam cells formed are closed and rigid. It takes its name from this. They are good heat retainers. Because of this, rigid systems are currently the world's best insulation material for thermal insulation purposes.
