Denge Kimya Introduces Densurf LA Surface Modifying Agents

Denge Kimya has developed approximately forty products within its Densurf product group. The products it has developed for the paints sector represent a first in Turkey. The use of Densurf LA surface levelling additives aims to eliminate paint defects and improve paint properties.

Densurf LA surface levelling agents improve the following properties in paints:

• Flow and levelling (problem resolution), • Scratch resistance, • Reduction in friction resistance, • Foam control and air release properties, • Surface wetting, • Gloss. The surface-active agents in the Densurf LA group also prevent numerous paint defects such as orange peel, pinholes, cratering, Bernard cells and pigment separation. Silicone surface-active agents' system compatibility and performance depend proportionally on the amounts of polyethylene oxide (EO), polypropylene oxide (PO) and polysiloxane (PDMS) present in the structure.

The Densurf LA series silicone surface-active agents have been developed to achieve optimal performance in each paint type.

When the above triangle is examined, it shows which properties will be emphasized with increases in the EO/PO/Si ratios in the structure.
