The 200-member Fellow group to which Prof. Dr. Amitav Sanyal has been elected strengthens the global chemistry community while playing a role in shaping science policy.

Elects the world's most prestigious scientists as members

Prof. Dr. Amitav Sanyal, who has continued his work at Boğaziçi University for approximately 20 years, expressed that his selection for Fellow group membership by the board and the recognition in the international scientific community have motivated him and his team, stating: "I came to Boğaziçi University 20 years ago and have continued my research here in many fields such as organic, polymer and materials chemistry, biomaterials for bioimmobilization, preparation of biological sensors, new scaffolds for cell and tissue growth, and metal and polymeric nanoparticles. The Royal Society of Chemistry elects the world's most prestigious scientists as members. Being selected as a member by the board is an honor for me and my team. While such developments increase our motivation for the research we will conduct, they also encourage young scientists to pursue science more actively." Prof. Dr. Sanyal also invited young scientists wishing to take on postgraduate-level roles in ongoing research at Boğaziçi University, emphasizing that they offer important opportunities to participate in globally impactful and noteworthy research.
