DowDuPont Announces Brand Names for Three Planned Independent Companies
DowDuPont™ announced the corporate brand names that each of its business divisions is planned to assume when they separate into independent companies as scheduled. According to this plan, the Agriculture division will be named Corteva Agriscience™, reflecting the objective of enriching the lives of producers and consumers.
The Materials Science division will take the name Dow, preserving the brand name as the Dow diamond in recognition of the company's 121-year history of innovation and value creation.
The Specialty Products division will become the new DuPont, advancing a 215-year legacy of science-based innovation aimed at transforming industries and daily life.
While some product names will change upon separation, many products within each of the planned new companies will continue to be sold under existing, well-established brand names.
DowDuPont Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ed Breen stated: "The selection of these company names represents an important milestone in the process of establishing three strong and independent companies. Each company name reflects the unique strengths and value proposition of the company it will represent.

Agriculture Division to Combine "Heart" and "Nature"
When separated as an independent company, the Agriculture business, which will have its headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware, will take the name Corteva Agriscience, derived from two words meaning "heart" and "nature." With proforma revenues exceeding USD 14 billion in 2017 and proforma operating EBITDA of more than USD 2.6 billion in 2017, the Agriculture division possesses the world's most comprehensive and balanced seed and crop protection portfolio and a strong new product pipeline that will enable it to continue delivering tangible value to farmers both today and in the long term.
