Petkim Was Once Again the Export Star of the Aegean Region

Petkim, Turkey's first and only integrated petrochemical facility, has won awards as the Aegean Region's "Highest Exporting Company" and the Chemical Sector's "Highest Exporting Company."

Petkim, a subsidiary of SOCAR Türkiye, won two awards at the 'Stars of Exports 2017 Awards Ceremony' held by the Aegean Exporters Associations. With USD 671 million in exports achieved in 2017, Petkim received the title of Aegean Region's "Highest Exporting Company." Following an evaluation among members of the Aegean Exporters Association, the company also won the award for "Highest Exporting Company in the Chemical Sector" in the region. Petkim General Manager Anar Mammadov, who received the Stars of Exports awards from Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci, noted that 2017 was a record-breaking year for the company. Stating that they exported to 69 countries last year, Mammadov continued: "Petkim, Turkey's first and only integrated petrochemical production facility, not only provides raw material security for industrialists but also plays a major role in reducing Turkey's current account deficit in the petrochemical sector. With our export success in the global markets we have opened, we continue to do our best for our country. Holding the title of the Aegean Region's largest exporter will guide us in achieving our future targets."
