DYO Completes Colorful DYOlogs Series

DYO's Colorful DYOlogues conversation series, designed to define the place of color in architecture, was conducted with AURA ISTANBUL (Istanbul Academy of Architecture and Urban Studies). The continuation of the project that started last year was broadcast live on Youtube under the theme "Colors of Turkey." The broadcasts were watched by more than 1.3 million people. DYO, a leading brand in the sector, considers contributing to intellectual life a mission. Within this scope, DYO, the most established brand in the Turkish paints sector, continues to contribute to urban aesthetics and intellectual values in response to social responsibility. The Colorful DYOlogues project, which aims to define the place of color in architecture, is a product of this approach. DYO has collaborated with AURA Istanbul since 2019, an organization that aims to contribute to urban culture and architecture and counts respected architects among its founders. Through this project, DYO aims to support human resources quality in the construction sector and contribute to architecture and urban culture. The Colorful DYOlogues conversation series, which hosted Turkey's leading architects, addressed the definition of color in our lives from different disciplines under the theme "Colors of Turkey." DYO implemented the first phase of the project last year as university panels and interview series, and this year, taking pandemic conditions into account, opted for live broadcast conversations.

The "Colorful DYOlogues Colors of Turkey" conversation series, broadcast live on Youtube, offers new perspectives to people interested in areas such as color, design, space, archeology, architecture, art and culture.

In the conversation series following the Colorful DYOlogues, which addressed architects' color perception, guests spoke across a wide range of areas from gastronomy to travel, philosophy to literature, archeology to contemporary art, music to architecture, fashion to design, civilizations to color science. The architects who participated in the broadcast redefined the concept of color in a thought-provoking way through their unique perspectives within their own disciplines. The 10-week conversation series, conducted in collaboration with AURA Istanbul on DYO's Youtube channel, featured distinguished figures who stood out for their knowledge and broad interests. The live conversations, which began on 30 May with Ayhan Sicimoğlu and Serter Karataban, subsequently hosted: Hilmi Yavuz-Emre Zeytinoğlu, Bedri Baykam-Oylum Ökten İşözen, Nevzat Sayın-Serhan Ada, Beral Madra-Serhat Kiraz, Nezih Başgelen-Erhan İşözen, Şerif Yenen-Jale Kulin, Arzu Kaprol-Şebnem Buhara, Günseli Kato-Bekir Sert, Alparslan Baloğlu-Yılmaz Değer. The live conversation series, each lasting approximately one hour, was watched by more than 1.3 million people. Digital recordings of these broadcasts, in which color was discussed in depth, can be viewed on the Youtube channels of DYO and AURA Istanbul.
