Ege Kimya Acquires Venator Materials' Siccatives Business

Ege Kimya San. ve Tic. A.Ş., one of Turkey's leading producers in the metal-based chemicals sector, has announced the acquisition of the drier product portfolio owned by Venator Materials UK Limited ("Venator"), a major global player in the paints and coatings industry – including all brands, formulations and intellectual property rights.

By taking over this strong legacy from Venator, which has provided innovative solutions to the paints and coatings industry since 1918, Ege Kimya now possesses one of the most comprehensive and innovative drier product portfolios on the market.

Stronger Portfolio on a Global Scale
The globally recognized NUODEX®, DURHAM® and NUODEX® DryCoat brands will now sit alongside Ege Kimya's EGEDry®, EGEDry® Prime and EGECat® brands under the same roof. Ege Kimya's commercial and technical teams will work in close collaboration with existing and new customers to further expand the global reach of this portfolio.

International Chemical Player Through Strategic Growth Moves
Over the past 18 months, following investments in Tunçtaş (dextrin adhesive) and Metal Oxide (zinc oxide), Ege Kimya has elevated its vision to become an "international chemical solutions provider" by adding Venator's drier business unit to its portfolio.

Paksoy and Fladgate provided legal advisory services for this transaction, while Dome Group provided financial advisory services.
