Energy Sector Entering the Hydrogen Age The general assembly of the Green Hydrogen Producers Association (H2DER) was held at Istanbul Swiss Hotel. At the general assembly where the new board of directors and association bodies were determined, Yusuf Günay, elected as Chairman, stated that he views green hydrogen production and utilization as the most important phase of the green transition. Günay continued his remarks as follows: "A major transformation is underway. Both climate action and sustainability targets make this necessary. A hydrogen age is coming. This transformation must be implemented rapidly. For nearly three centuries, we have developed by following advanced countries. We have always been followers. Currently, the world's agenda is shared. There is no time to follow from behind. The mother at home, the fisherman on the boat, the child at school—all must experience this transformation. As an association, we primarily provide information. We issue a forewarning for all segments of society and everyone: the public, politicians, bureaucrats, industrialists, entrepreneurs, investors. Our primary objective, both from an environmental perspective and in terms of energy supply security, is to ensure understanding of what green hydrogen is. Subsequently, we are working to contribute to the creation of necessary regulations and legal infrastructure for all stages of production and utilization, transmission, storage, and trade. The world's largest producers, as well as the country's leading producers, are now united under our association's roof. Companies with a voice in the renewable energy world and experienced names from the electricity market are joining forces for the future of our country and our children. We are carefully monitoring all developments in green hydrogen production and consumption, particularly in the European Union. By sharing all our information, analyses, and recommendations with decision-makers, we are attempting to contribute to our country's roadmap in this field. In 2023, we will continue to serve our country through a series of activities."

H2DER – Green Hydrogen Producers Association

Operating within multinational structures in the energy sector in Turkey as well as in various EU countries (such as Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Greece), the United States and Canada; composed of managers and academics who have guided the structural development and transformation of Turkey's energy sector; with capable and responsible members who recognize the inevitable transformation in energy, the association aims to contribute to the zero-carbon journey through green hydrogen production and substitution of fossil fuels.
