Physical Trade Fairs to Resume on 1 September
Commerce Minister Pekcan announced that indoor physical trade fairs will begin to be organized again starting 1 September with new measures in place.
Commerce Minister Ruhsar Pekcan issued an assessment regarding trade fairs through her Twitter account.
Recalling that outdoor physical trade fairs postponed due to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic began to be organized starting 1 July as part of the normalization process, Pekcan stated: "Our indoor physical trade fairs will begin to be organized starting 1 September with new measures in place. All necessary precautions will be taken within the scope of mask-distance and hygiene measures, with priority given to the protection of public health."
"HES code screening will be conducted"
Drawing attention to the fact that participants, visitors and staff will be allowed entry to the fair area after HES code screening, Pekcan noted the following: "Additionally, inspections regarding all established rules such as visitor numbers, booth layout plans and disinfection will be conducted by the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges or by the chamber/exchange it designates."
