  Petrol Ofisi Technology Center Launches Two Innovative Mineral Oil Products: Maxima Hybrid 0W–20 for Hybrid Vehicles and Energy-Saving Hydro Tech HVI-E Petrol Ofisi opened its facilities in Derince, Kocaeli, a production hub in the mineral oils and chemicals market, to visits from leading Turkish media organisations. During a press visit hosted by Sezgin Gürsu, Director of Mineral Oils at Petrol Ofisi, the Petrol Ofisi Technology Center – POTEM, the most advanced centre in Turkey and across a wide geographical region, became a focal point. During the press tour organised for automotive and energy media, the launch of Maxima Hybrid 0W–20 motor oil specifically designed for hybrid vehicles was held at POTEM, and information was shared about the new-generation energy-saving hydraulic system oil Petrol Ofisi Hydro Tech HVI-E.

Petrol Ofisi Mineral Oils Contributes to Production, Industry and the Economy in Turkey

Sezgin Gürsu, Director of Mineral Oils at Petrol Ofisi, said: "According to data from the Petroleum Industry Association (PETDER), Petrol Ofisi Mineral Oils has continuously maintained its leadership in the mineral oils and chemicals market since 2010, reaching its eighth year with a 24.9% market share in 2017. As Petrol Ofisi, we conduct mineral oil and grease production at our facility in Derince, which features advanced technology with an annual production capacity of 140,000 tonnes and total storage capacity of 65,000 tonnes, comprising 15,000 tonnes of finished products plus 50,000 tonnes of raw materials and semi-finished products, and we make our products available at 16,000 points of sale across all of Turkey. In 2017, we achieved production exceeding 122,000 tonnes at our facility, exporting more than 10,000 tonnes of this to 33 countries across 4 continents. The Petrol Ofisi Mineral Oils production facility, with over 350 different products, is the most advanced centre capable of providing comprehensive solutions under one roof for all of Turkey's mineral oils requirements, primarily in the automotive sector. POTEM Ranks Among the World's Most Advanced Technology Centres

Emphasising the significant contribution of the Petrol Ofisi Technology Center – POTEM, a centre of major importance not only for Turkey but for a wide geographical region, to this important success achieved by Petrol Ofisi Mineral Oils, Sezgin Gürsu said: "The Petrol Ofisi Technology Center – POTEM, located within the Petrol Ofisi Mineral Oils production facility, has a closed space of 1,000 m² and an investment value of 6 million dollars, provides services with state-of-the-art equipment, expert staff, and a unique knowledge base and experience spanning 77 years, and carries out R&D work. At POTEM, a total of 155 different tests can be performed using national and international methods, 83 of which are TURKAK-accredited. Our centre performs an average of 150,000 tests annually.
