Polynt-Reichhold Group Announces New Maleic Anhydride Reactor

Polynt-Reichhold Group (Scanzorosciate, Italy), a producer of composite materials, intermediate chemicals, coating resins, thermoset composites, gelcoats and specialty niche chemical products, has announced that it has ordered a new reactor to support internal maleic anhydride consumption in its composite operations worldwide. The reactor, which is stated to have a maleic anhydride capacity of 60 ktpa, will be installed at the Ravenna site in Italy. The reactor is expected to be commissioned in 2021. The new reactor will be manufactured by Walter Tosto Spa (Chieti, Italy), a producer of high-pressure equipment and tanks for the petrochemical industry.
