PPG's SICO Paints Introduces the 2020 Color of the Year: Mystic Cobalt

For the upcoming year, PPG's SICO® paint brand suggests a return to antiquity with 2020 Color of the Year: Mystic Cobalt (6008-73). This deep blue tone of purple is inspired by a blend of captivating mineral pigments known as cobalt blue. The timeless tone was used thousands of years ago to embellish the finest Mediterranean ceramics. Both classic and soothing, Mystic Cobalt is a tribute to the infinite beauty of the world. This annual event brings together more than 20 PPG global color stylists from the automotive, consumer electronics, aerospace, house paint and coating industries. Over several days, the stylists analyzed lifestyles, demographics, geographies and global and cross-cultural social influences to determine which colors would resonate and represent PPG's global color forecast, including Sico's Color of the Year paint.
