PPG Introduces Water-Based PPG AQUACRON 834 Primer

PPG has introduced PPG AQUACRON® 834, a new water-based primer offering an ideal product platform for manufacturers and specialty coaters requiring economical rust prevention primers for steel applications. PPG Aquacron® water-based primer complies with strict environmental regulations at 2.8 pounds of volatile organic compounds (VOC) per gallon and provides robust protection in corrosive environments. It offers excellent flow and leveling properties to achieve smooth surfaces for steel fabrication, automotive components, waste containers, industrial machinery, material handling equipment and various other metal fabrication applications. The fast-drying formulation of PPG Aquacron® 834 primer can increase shop productivity, offering manufacturers and specialty coaters a cost-effective option using water for reduction and cleanup. PPG Aquacron® 834 primer works well with PPG Aquacron® 488, PPG Aquacron® 880 and PPG Aquacron 890 Series topcoats with the capability of being made in different colors.
