Sabancı Holding Included in CDP's List with 5 Companies

Sabancı Holding and four additional Sabancı Group companies earned an A rating from CDP in 2023, joining the global leaders. Brisa achieved a place on the Global A List in both climate change and water security, while Carrefoursa and Enerjisa Enerji earned an A rating in water security. Temsa, participating in the CDP reporting process for the first time this year, made a major achievement by being included in the Climate Change Global A List in its inaugural year. Sabancı Holding, which reports its environmental impact in full detail through CDP, a nonprofit and global organization that operates the world's leading environmental reporting platform, was included in the 2023 Global A List in the Climate Change category. Sabancı Holding became the only investment holding from Turkey on this list, while upgrading its rating to A- in water security reporting. In 2023, of the 11 Sabancı Group companies that reported to the CDP Climate Change Programme, 9 advanced to leadership level with an A or A- rating. This tripled the number of Sabancı Group companies reporting to CDP and operating at leadership level compared to the previous year. Sabancı Holding Chief Executive Officer Cenk Alper noted that among the more than 21,000 companies with disclosed CDP scores this year, only 346 companies were included on the Climate Change Global A List, and continued as follows:

Number of companies succeeding in joining the Climate Change Programme A List: 346

CDP, established in 2000 and working with more than 740 financial institutions managing assets worth 137 trillion dollars globally, uses the power of capital markets and corporate purchasing to encourage companies to disclose environmental impacts, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and protect water resources and forests. In 2023, more than 23,000 companies and over 1,100 cities, states, and regions worldwide with two-thirds of global market capitalization disclosed their data through CDP. Among these, approximately 21,000 companies had their scores disclosed, and 346 companies succeeded in joining the Climate Change Programme A List. Working to change how business operates in order to reduce the effects of climate change and protect natural resources, CDP holds the world's largest corporate climate change, water, and forest-risk data.
