Türk Henkel CEO Hasan Alemdar Takes on Additional Responsibilities at Henkel

Hasan Alemdar, Chief Executive of Henkel Turkey, has been appointed Vice President responsible for Sales for Henkel Beauty Care, Turkey, Israel, Iran and Middle East Africa Region, in addition to his current duties. After completing his studies in Public Administration at Dokuz Eylül University, Alemdar graduated from the Business School at University of Birmingham in England and completed his MBA at the same university. He began his career in 1991 as Brand Manager Assistant at BMC. One year later, Alemdar started his career journey at Henkel, holding various management positions in the Detergents Division Sales Department between 1992 and 1998. Between 1998 and 1999, he oversaw the establishment of Schwarzkopf & Henkel Beauty Care Division in Turkey for the first time. From 1999 to 2002, Alemdar served as Global Accounts Manager at Henkel's headquarters in Düsseldorf. In 2002, he was appointed General Manager of Henkel Turkey Beauty Care. From 2005 onwards, in addition to his general manager role, he took on the position of Middle East and Africa Sales Director. Between 2008 and 2010, he also served as General Manager of Egypt. In January 2010, in addition to his roles as General Manager of Henkel Turkey Beauty Care and Sales Director of Schwarzkopf & Henkel Middle East and Africa, Alemdar also assumed the duties of Regional Director for Schwarzkopf Professional (Hair Care Products Division), Middle East and Africa Region. In January 2012, Hasan Alemdar was appointed Chief Executive of Henkel Turkey, and as of April 2018, he will also take on the position of Vice President responsible for Sales for Henkel Beauty Care, Turkey, Israel, Iran and Middle East Africa Region. Alemdar speaks English and German at a good level, is 53 years old, married and has one daughter.
