Haleon Türkiye Announces Senior Appointment

Gülden Duykan Kankotan, Haleon Turkey Marketing Director, has been appointed Director of Strategy and Innovation for Haleon Middle East and Africa Region as of 1 March. In her new role, Kankotan will lead the growth strategy for a broad geography encompassing more than 45 countries and drive innovations in Oral Health and OTC categories. Gülden Duykan Kankotan has been appointed Director of Strategy and Innovation for the Middle East and Africa Region at Haleon, a leading consumer health company that owns brands including Sensodyne, Otrivin, Centrum, Advil, and Voltaren. Kankotan brings 20 years of experience in leading FMCG and pharmaceutical companies and graduated from Boğaziçi University Department of Mathematics in 2005. She served as Personal Care Category Manager at Unilever from 2009 to 2012. From 2013 to 2020, she held the position of Marketing Director at Johnson & Johnson Turkey.

To Lead Middle East and Africa Innovation Strategy

Appointed Marketing Director of Consumer Health at GlaxoSmithKline Turkey in 2020, Kankotan continued in this role under the Haleon umbrella when the company transitioned to Haleon on 18 July 2022. In her new position, Gülden Duykan Kankotan will be responsible for expanding the reach of more than 25 brands in Haleon's Middle East and Africa region under the motto "a healthier life for everyone, every day". In addition to her professional work, Kankotan is a member of the Mobile Marketing Association, the Board of the Advertisers Association, Lead Network, and UN Women.
