Bupa Türkiye acquires CGM Türkiye
Bupa Türkiye and CompuGroup Medical Türkiye announced their agreement on the sale of the subsidiary on 24 October 2023. Following Competition Authority approval, closing procedures were completed.
Bupa Türkiye, a subsidiary of the UK-based Bupa Group, one of the world's largest players in healthcare services and insurance, has completed the acquisition of CGM Türkiye, which operates CompuGroup Medical's Turkish operations, with approval from the Competition Authority.
Bupa Türkiye, Turkey's leading integrated health group, has completed the acquisition of CGM Türkiye, which provides operations and information systems solutions focused on health insurance.
In a statement by Bupa Türkiye, which is increasing its investments in the sector, it was noted that CGM Türkiye's strong, independent and impartial structure established to date will be preserved and the growth strategy in healthcare services in Turkey will continue with steady steps under the Bupa umbrella with a global approach.
In the statement, emphasis was placed on the acquisition being an indicator of confidence in the Turkish economy, and it was noted that services needed by the sector and customers will be developed.
