Hasan Alemdar Appointed Vice President Responsible for Henkel Beauty Care Middle East and Africa Region

Hasan Alemdar, Chairman of Henkel Turkey's Executive Board, has been appointed Vice President Responsible for Henkel Beauty Care Middle East and Africa Region in addition to his current responsibilities. After completing his studies in Public Administration at Dokuz Eylül University, followed by a degree in Business Administration from the University of Birmingham in England and an MBA from the same university, Hasan Alemdar began his career in 1991 as Brand Manager Assistant at BMC. One year later, Alemdar started his career journey at Henkel, holding various managerial positions in the Detergent Division Sales Department between 1992 and 1998. Between 1998 and 1999, he directed the establishment of Schwarzkopf & Henkel Beauty Care Division in Turkey for the first time. Alemdar served as Global Accounts Manager at Henkel's headquarters in Düsseldorf between 1999 and 2002. In 2002, he was appointed General Manager of Henkel Turkey Beauty Care. From 2005 onwards, he took on the Middle East and Africa Sales Director role in addition to his general manager duties. In January 2010, he assumed the position of Henkel Turkey Beauty Care General Manager and Schwarzkopf & Henkel Middle East and Africa Sales Director, in addition to his roles as Regional Director for Schwarzkopf Professional (Hair Care Products Division) for the Middle East and Africa Region. Appointed Chairman of Henkel Turkey's Executive Board in January 2012, Hasan Alemdar was promoted in April 2018 to Vice President Responsible for Henkel Beauty Care country management for Turkey, Israel, Iran and Middle East Africa Region Sales. As of October 2020, Hasan Alemdar has been appointed Vice President Responsible for Henkel Beauty Care Middle East and Africa Region, assuming total responsibility for the region. Alemdar, fluent in English and German, is 55 years old, married and has one daughter.
