Global Water Scarcity and Turkey's Situation 

According to the World Water Development Report published by the United Nations in 2023, 26% of the global population lacks access to safe drinking water and 46% is without sanitation services. While global water demand is expected to increase by 25% by 2050, water scarcity is foreseen to become an even greater threat, particularly in major cities. Turkey is being seriously affected by this crisis. In regions facing water stress, challenges are sometimes encountered in meeting agricultural, industrial and drinking water needs. Feast Gıda addresses this problem by adopting sustainable production methods that minimise water waste in production processes. By investing specifically in water recovery systems, it reduces water consumption at its production facilities year on year. 

The Scale of Food Waste and Feast's Zero Waste Philosophy

Globally, 931 million tonnes of food are wasted annually, with a large portion originating from households. Food waste is not only an economic loss but also has serious environmental consequences. While 10% of global carbon emissions stem from food waste, this has a major impact on climate change. Approximately 18 million tonnes of food are wasted annually in Turkey. This situation brings both economic and environmental damage. Feast Gıda, which follows a minimum waste policy in production processes, freezes products while preserving their nutritional values through IQF (Individual Quick Freezing) technology. In this way, products retain their freshness from day one, and because they are consumed as needed, they play an important role in reducing waste.
