Duru Gıda reiterated its commitment to strengthening domestic production, sustainable agriculture, and environmentally friendly manufacturing on World Food Day. Emin Duru, Chairman of the Board at Duru Gıda, stated: "Our goal is to strengthen domestic production and sustainable agriculture, protect natural resources, leave healthy food for future generations, and create fairer, more nutritious and environmentally friendly food systems."
Since its establishment in Karaman, Duru Gıda has combined traditional stone mill methods with modern technology, creating a production model resilient to global challenges such as climate change and drought. With 94 product varieties reaching 58 countries, the brand operates according to principles of naturalness, efficiency and social benefit at every stage of production.
This year's World Food Day theme was set as "Hand in Hand for Better Food and a Better Future." In line with this theme, Emin Duru stated: "We aim to strengthen domestic production and sustainable agriculture, protect natural resources and leave healthy food for future generations. With a vision of 'a better future,' we join hands for a fair and sustainable food system where both producers and consumers meet in the same chain." He added, "Good food is production that respects nature, producers and society."
The Ahmet Buğdayı Project, launched in 2018 by Duru Gıda in cooperation with Karamanoğlu Mehmet Bey University, is one of the strongest examples of this vision. Emin Duru said, "We protect our native heirloom seeds, produce with drought-resistant varieties and increase our farmers' income. Thus we contribute to our country's agricultural independence."

Noting that they are conducting systematic work on energy efficiency, water conservation and waste management, Duru stated: "We reduce our carbon footprint through clean energy investments. We aim to meet 85% of our electricity consumption from solar energy. By combining modern technology with the natural stone mill tradition used in our production facilities, we preserve the naturalness and nutritional value of wheat. This increases product quality and supports sustainable production practices. For us, good food is the result of nutritious and traceable production processes that respect nature, producers and society. As Duru Gıda, we will continue to bring consumers products that are in harmony with nature, high in nutritional value, and produced with traditional methods."
