Introducing Ede-Cide Plus: A Safe "Preservative Free" Solution for Cosmetics Traditional preservatives used in various cosmetic and personal care products have come under increasing scrutiny in recent years due to their potential health hazards to users or the environment, or sometimes both. Next-generation preservatives represent an area where many ingredient developers and suppliers are working and conducting research. The Ecogreen Council has launched a competition that has led global manufacturers and retail brands, supported by various major industry names, to develop alternative preservative ingredients. As consumers increasingly demand broad "free-from" claims on cosmetic products due to mounting evidence that compounds such as phthalates, triclosan and formaldehyde may cause certain health problems or have negative environmental impacts, active producers such as Labio have begun responding to growing demand for alternative preservatives. We would like to introduce you to an excellent preservative from Labio, a South Korean innovative and nature-friendly ingredient and active producer that closely follows cosmetics sector trends. Our nature-friendly product EDE-Cide Plus, with its specially blended extract content, supports the "preservative free" claim. A unique combination of Artemisia princeps and grapefruit seed extracts was developed to protect your formula and provide green content and anti-bacterial properties. The effects and uses of Artemisia are documented in ancient medical history. Among the three best-known Korean Artemisia extract varieties, Artemisia princeps has the highest volatile oil content.
