L'Oréal Allocates Additional EUR 20 Million to Climate Crisis Fund

At a time when the social, economic and environmental impacts of climate change are increasing, L'Oréal has strengthened its commitment to the Climate Crisis Fund. With an additional EUR 20 million in financing to be provided by 2030, the company will support projects aimed at enhancing the resilience of vulnerable communities against the climate crisis.
Since its launch in 2023, the fund has supported more than 30 projects in 32 countries. With the new financing, L'Oréal aims to scale up models that have demonstrated successful results in field implementation and contribute to reducing disaster risks and strengthening emergency response capacity.
Climate-Related Disasters on the Rise
According to data shared by the company, 358 natural disasters worldwide in 2025 affected more than 110 million people. Approximately 85% of these disasters are attributed to climate change.
L'Oréal CEO Nicolas Hieronimus noted in his assessment that the climate crisis is not only an environmental but also a humanitarian issue, stating that the company continues its efforts to build community resilience.
L'Oréal Director of Corporate Responsibility Ezgi Barcenas highlighted that climate change has serious impacts on health, water resources, food security and livelihoods, emphasizing the growing importance of resilience-focused investments.

Local Projects, Global Impact
Projects supported under the fund include various initiatives implemented across different geographies.
In India, a heat insurance program covering 50,000 women working in the informal sector is being implemented through a partnership with HERA and the Self-Employed Women's Association (SEWA).
In Peru and Ecuador, an artificial intelligence-enabled early warning system developed in partnership with World Vision France aims to increase disaster preparedness capacity of communities in the Amazon region against floods and other climate risks.
In Kenya, a project implemented in partnership with Slum Dwellers International includes psychosocial support and mental health resilience programs for young people living in Nairobi.
Part of a Sustainability Ecosystem
The L'Oréal Climate Crisis Fund operates as part of the company's broader sustainability and social impact initiatives. The company's ecosystem, comprising philanthropic funds, impact investments, sustainable financing instruments and innovation programs, has committed a total of EUR 415 million to date.
These efforts are being implemented within the framework of "L'Oréal for the Future," the company's global sustainability roadmap.
