Turkish Henkel's "Leave a Mark" Project Meets Children in İzmir This Year

Türk Henkel, focusing its activities on sustainability, is implementing the "Leave a Mark" project this year in Izmir, aimed at building environmental awareness in children at an early age. Within the scope of the project, more than 200 children aged 8–12 will participate in sustainability workshops.

Türk Henkel, placing sustainability at the center of its activities, is implementing the "Leave a Mark" project this year in Izmir, which aims to develop environmental and nature awareness in children at an early age. Carried out in collaboration with İhtiyaç Haritası, the project continues its journey with the vision of bringing sustainability awareness to children in different cities across Turkey.

The project, which last year brought together children affected by the earthquake in container living areas in Hatay, takes on special significance with its implementation this year in Izmir following the major forest fires. Through events to be held within the scope of the project, it is aimed to strengthen children's connections with nature and increase sustainability awareness.

Workshops Strengthening Sustainability Awareness
Within the scope of the project, children will participate in free workshops that support them in gaining environmental sensitivity and learning ways to protect nature.

In the "Sustainability Heroes" workshop, work will be conducted on recycling practices and designing new products from waste. This aims to develop environmental awareness and reuse awareness in children.

In the "Nature Love Drama" workshop, children will be supported in developing empathy with nature through storytelling and drama exercises.

Additionally, poster and model work will be conducted within the scope of the "Nature Protectors Design" workshop and seed ball activity. It is aimed for children to reinforce their nature conservation awareness through hands-on experiences.

In addition to workshop activities, a field event called "My Sapling, My Future" will be organized with the participation of all children. In this event, children will plant their own saplings while bringing the seed balls they prepared together with nature.

Aimed at Reaching More Than 200 Children
Türk Henkel's Leave a Mark project will be implemented at the Izmir Konak Municipality Toros Social Facility. Within the scope of the program, children living in fire-affected areas in the districts of Karabağlar, Seferihisar and Menderes will participate in workshops and activities.

Through the program conducted by expert trainers in their field, it is aimed to reach more than 200 children aged 8–12. The project aims to contribute to the reforestation process of the region following the fire, strengthen children's connections with nature, and support sustainability awareness.

Project Was Implemented in Hatay Last Year
The "Leave a Mark" project was also implemented last year in Hatay in collaboration with İhtiyaç Haritası for children affected by the earthquake. Through free and educational workshops organized within the scope of the project, it contributed to developing the creative thinking skills of approximately 250 children living in container living areas, building their environmental awareness, and creating social awareness.
