"Aslı Gibidir!... Portraits / Mixed Painting and Sculpture Exhibition" Opens

İstMarina Art, which opened at İstMarina Shopping Centre, continues to organize social and cultural activities. Between 22 August – 22 September 2019, it will host "As It Is!... Portraits," a mixed painting and sculpture exhibition featuring works by 20 artists. The exhibition will bring together the creations of 20 artists with art enthusiasts. İstMarina Art is preparing to make a significant contribution to the city's cultural life with "As It Is!... Portraits / Mixed Painting and Sculpture Exhibition." Istanbul art lovers will experience a remarkable exhibition this month. In the mixed exhibition showcasing works by 20 different artists, the aim is to emphasize that "every portrait is more than a reflection of its subject's external appearance," and the idea that "the artist not only sees what is within the model but also clothes their own world onto the viewer" carries particular weight. The exhibition's theme is briefly summarized in the statement, "A portrait, after a certain point, becomes the artist's own portrait as well." In the As It Is!... Portraits exhibition, works created by artists using different techniques and materials invite viewers into a separate narrative. Curated by Kenan Bahadır Derre, the exhibition will be presented for visitors' appreciation between 22 August - 22 September 2019, featuring works by Aylin Örücü, Begüm Telci, Buse Emiroğlu, Bülent Gürcihan, Çiğdem Boztaş, Eda Çığırlı, Emir Yasin Yağmurca, Esen Murat Güler, Güliz Baydemir, Hakan Cingöz, Hemraz Hasbay, Işıl Kapu, K. Muzaffer Gençer, Mehmet Can Gürsoy, Metin Akbaş, Muzaffer Tuncer, Suna Doğruyol, Talha Hakan Arslan, Tuğçe Güngör and Zeynep Sakız.
