Canon celebrates World Photography Day!

Photography has evolved from the first photograph, which took 8 hours to capture, to technologies where we can fit many frames into seconds with each click of the shutter, continuously changing and improving with each passing minute.

Worldwide, 1.81 trillion photographs are taken annually, which means 57,000 photographs per second. According to research, this figure, which is increasing each year, is expected to reach 2.3 trillion by 2030. Both the shooting and preservation stages of photography, which occupies such an important place in our lives, are of great importance.

Being able to become part of the story of a photograph just as much as taking it, sharing the feelings of the person who took the photograph, is a priceless value. Photography means being able to discover the paradise hidden behind the peak in a beautiful landscape, the enchanting gaze in an exquisite portrait, the experiences within a historic building, the true world in a city's chaos.

This passion, which contains such special qualities at its core, today enables stories to reach much larger audiences with the effect of social media. Recorded moments are no longer merely photographs; they are all content!
