Who is Ozan Musluoğlu?

In 2000, he was admitted on scholarship to Bilgi University's Music Department. In 2001, he continued his double bass training under Volkan Hürsever, James Lewis, and Kürşat And. He participated in workshops with renowned bassists including Marc Johnson, David Friesen, Dominique Lemerle, Robert Balzar, and Dwayne Burno. He released his first album "Coincidence" in 2009 under the Rec Jazz label. In 2011, he released his second album "40^th Day" under Equinox Music. This album, comprising original compositions, featured Jeremy Pelt on trumpet, JD Allen on tenor saxophone, Danny Grissett on piano, and Darrell Green on drums. In 2012, he produced his third album "My Best Friends Are Pianists" with 12 of Turkey's most important jazz pianists and released it on the Equinox Music label. Between 2009 and 2017, he produced and hosted the radio program "Jazz Hour" broadcast every Friday evening on TRT Radio 3 for eight years. In February 2015, he released his latest album "My Best Friends Are Vocalists" on the Sony Music label, which was selected by iTunes as the year's best jazz album. He served as producer for Joy Voeth's "I Wish You Love" and Kenan Doğulu's "İhtimaller" albums, and subsequently performed on double bass. Ozan Musluoğlu continues his work as a double bass artist with the TRT Bigband, led by Serkan Özyılmaz.   Source: Akbank Sanat
