Erkan Oğur Anatolian Blues

Playing violin, bağlama, flute and cümbüş since the age of 4, Erkan Oğur could play nearly every type of traditional instrument by the time he finished primary school. Inspired by Jimi Hendrix, Oğur took up guitar and invented the fretless guitar in 1976 at the age of 22. After receiving degrees in Physics from Ankara University and Physics Engineering from Munich University respectively, he graduated from the Music Theory department of Istanbul State Conservatory. In addition to his proficiency with instruments such as oud, e-bow, fretless guitar, classical guitar and electric guitar, Erkan Oğur has also stood out as a vocalist on numerous pieces. Since 1982, he has released countless albums and contributed to the work of many distinguished artists. The master musician won the award for Europe's most creative album in 1994 with his album "Fretless". He also won the Golden Orange Best Music Award in 2004 for the music he composed for the film Yazı Tura. In 1995, he founded a group called "Telvin" together with İlkin Deniz and Turgut Alp Bekoğlu. Telvin means colours. Among the Sufi scholars, the progression from state to state, the journey toward a state of certainty is called "Telvin". The group performed numerous times over ten years and released their first album in 2006. With saxophonist Engin Recepoğulları, ney player Sinan Cem Eroğlu, pianist Çağrı Sertel and percussionist İzzet Kızıl joining the Telvin trio, the new project was named "Anadolu Blues". In this project, we witness the synthesis of two great passions of Erkan Oğur and his colleagues: the essence of blues and jazz music combined with the rich history and traditions of Anatolia.

Tingvall Trio

One Swede, one German and one Cuban: Martin Tingvall, Jürgen Spiegel and Omar Rodriguez Calvo. These three men came together in Hamburg to share their music. A pianist, a bass guitarist and a drummer. The three of them together create a seamless sound. A sound so compelling that it captivates even those who don't normally listen to jazz.
